A trial for the treatment was conducted from May 2020 to July 2020, when Covid was at its peak. A total of 313 subjects were recruited, of which 210 were cases of nasal congestion, sore throat, cough, and fever, and the rest 103 were severe cases of pneumonia and respiratory distress. The patients were randomly selected for the treatment, where they were given honey and black cumin according to the severity of their illness. There was a visible difference in the patients of the treatment and the patients who were given capsules and other medicines. The patients being provided the treatment recovered earlier, while the others required oxygen therapy and were hospitalized.  

As a treatment for the Coronavirus, Honey has shown significant results, increasing mortality rate and viral clearance in patients. It is something that is easily available at home and is an over the counter therapy that is affordable and accessible to almost everyone.
